Rank | Team | Reason |
---|---|---|
| Tennessee | Last undefeated team in the land. |
| Iowa State | The Iowa State-Auburn-Duke limbo is still tough to figure out, but no one can question the game in Maui was a toss-up that Iowa State had a chance to win. |
| Auburn | Not getting No. 1 for me (yet) |
| Duke | |
| Alabama | Rout on Oklahoma was impressive yet not enough to overtake Duke. |
| Houston | |
| Kentucky | Cats pick up another marquee win, over Florida this time around, the SEC is an all-out war. |
| Texas A&M | |
| Florida | |
| UConn | Everything considered outside of Maui, UCONN has looked really good. |
| Marquette | Marquette is so close to the top 10. |
| Kansas | |
| Purdue | |
| Ole Miss | |
| Gonzaga | |
| Mississippi State | Very underrated up to this point, Mississippi State could really surprise against a lot of the SEC in conference play this season. |
| Oklahoma | Oklahoma needs to find a way to respond or else they might not survive all the way to the big dance being in the SEC. |
| Michigan State | Without a doubt one of the best Big Ten teams, arguably the top contender. |
| Illinois | |
| Oregon | |
| West Virginia | The win against Kansas is huge, giving the Mountaineers two top 15 wins right now using my poll. |
| Baylor | |
| Memphis | |
| Utah State | Utah State found a way to win close games and they are very exciting because they can come from behind, besides the blemish against UC San Diego, the Aggies might be one of the current best mid-majors |
| Clemson |
Once again I find myself filling out my poll for 2 weeks after missing yet another week last week, I feel like I have been confident in every single one of my polls so far, I put in enough time and thought into each one and it just keeps getting tougher and tougher honestly. My toughest spots had to be 13-15 and 18-20. A quick thing to end off would be that every single SEC team that won their first conference game is ranked...outside of Vanderbilt, and they are 2nd in my first 5 out. SEC dominance. First 5 Out: Cincinnati, Vanderbilt, Georgetown, Texas Tech, Georgia
