Rank | Team | Reason |
---|---|---|
| Auburn | Head-to-head was not as much as a priority for me in the past weeks, but for the No. 1 spot it was absolutely the separating factor, kind of odd though. |
| Iowa State | |
| Duke | |
| Florida | Florida right back up here after the dominant home win over the previously ranked No. 1 team in the country (and my poll) Tennessee. |
| Alabama | |
| Tennessee | I have a feeling these 3 SEC teams 4-6 may be neck-and-neck the rest of the way. |
| Houston | |
| Marquette | |
| Kansas | |
| Kentucky | |
| Texas A&M | |
| Purdue | Purdue hasn't been too bad in B1G play so far and some of their losses aren't too bad. |
| Ole Miss | |
| UConn | |
| Michigan State | Fast riser in MSU right here, similar to how Oklahoma rose a few weeks ago. |
| Gonzaga | |
| Oregon | |
| Mississippi State | |
| Baylor | |
| Memphis | |
| Utah State | Hesistant to put them in the top 20 due to close games in MW play, UNLV could play spoiler this week, if they can get past that, I might be convinced they are a top 20 team in the country. |
| Georgia | Another strong SEC team that deserves to be ranked. |
| St. John's | |
| Michigan | |
| Illinois | The Oregon blowout is holding its ground right here (while also being competitive in some other top matchups) |
Still feeling pretty high on the Big 12, and also a couple sprinkled in for the Big Ten of course. SEC is beating up on each other at the start of conference play, Memphis and Utah State are catching Gonzaga soon enough, and it won't help if the Zags drop a WCC game at some point or another. First 5 out: West Virginia, Clemson, Oklahoma, St. Mary's, Missouri,
