| Rank | Team | Reason |
|---|---|---|
Kansas | A huge victory over UNC keeps them as my #1.
UConn |
Duke |
Alabama | A closer-than-expected game against Arkansas State moves them down a spot against Duke this week after Duke took care of business.
Arizona |
Auburn |
Purdue |
Gonzaga | Gonzaga jumps the three teams that lost this past week.
Houston | Houston's fall is slightly greater than UNCs since Auburn was originally 10th for me.
North Carolina | It's not a bad loss, so they won't move much imo.
Baylor | Baylor's loss to Gonzaga lands them here.
Iowa State |
Tennessee |
Marquette |
Kentucky |
Indiana |
Arkansas | They fall some, but a loss to ranked Baylor team won't drop them too much.
Illinois |
Creighton |
Rutgers |
Ohio State | Earns a spot in the poll after a decisive win over Texas.
Saint Mary's |
Cincinnati | Joins my poll after doing well this week.
Texas A&M | They played on the road at UCF, if it were a neutral or home loss they'd be out.
Florida | Next 5 Out: Ole Miss, Xavier, Penn State, Wake Forest, and Florida State
It was a great first week of college basketball. There were a ton of top 25 matchups which creates movement everywhere. No major "upsets" other than the Ohio State win in my opinion which catapulted Texas out of my poll for a bit. Let's see how next week goes!
