Rank | Team | Reason |
---|---|---|
| Kansas | Kansas still sticking in the #1 spot for the 3rd straight week after their win over Oakland on their home floor. 1 home game against UNCW before gearing up for Duke in Vegas. |
| UConn | UCONN keeps on rolling through mid-majors and play one more before heading to play in the Maui Invitational and facing high quality opponents. |
| Gonzaga | Gonzaga heads to play at San Diego St Monday evening in an interesting matchup, and if they play like they have all season, it shouldn't be a problem, but yet it's still a game to watch. |
| Purdue | The 2 game stretch of Nov. 15 and Nov. 19 would really dictate what kind of Purdue team was going to show up this season. They are 1-0 in that stretch and will head to Milwaukee to finish the job. |
| Auburn | Light week ahead for the Tigers as they just have to get through North Alabama while the two teams ahead of them have to play tougher opponents these next 2 days. |
| Houston | Houston rocked Louisiana this past week and face Hofstra this Friday before heading to play in the Players Era Festival Round Robin. |
| Iowa State | Iowa State played good against Summit frontrunner Kansas City on Monday, they don't have too much for their schedule until next week's ranking when they'll play Auburn. |
| Tennessee | Offense was the show against Austin Peay as Tennessee put up 103 points led by Milicic and Zeigler combining for 42 points. Zeigler had 7 and 8 assists in this week's games respectively. |
| Alabama | Bama could not stop Trey Kaufman-Renn and Braden Smith. The next 3 games feature Will Riley, LJ Cryer, and the duo of Dylan Harper and Ace Bailey as potential offensive threats. Can Bama stop them? |
| Kentucky | Mark Pope can win more with more, and it is happening right now. Kentucky is about to win some big games here in the near future playing like this. |
| Duke | Duke definitely has a lot to look forward to. This team is definitely good enough to knock off Kansas in Vegas in a little over a week, I'm very confident in that. |
| Baylor | Baylor has looked like a top 10 level team after getting absolutely dismantled by Gonzaga opening night, and that's the thing, that loss will hang over them for these next few weeks. Bahamas ahead |
| Indiana | Top 10 should definitely be on the horizon for this IU team. They have to take care of their big matchups in the future and that will absolutely happen. |
| North Carolina | UNC will play a weird game in Hawaii at 12:30 AM ET before the next ranking. Likely to take care of it, but weird things happen. |
| Florida | Good rivalry win against FSU this past Friday and Florida still looking pretty good. |
| Creighton | Creighton was able to spread the scoring this past week, which is a good sign in my eyes, Creighton faces Nebraska before the Players Era Festival next week. |
| Texas Tech | Texas Tech along with Iowa State are two of the few teams who don't really play anybody early, so not a lot to say for this ranking for them. |
| BYU | BYU scored a lot of points this past week. They'll play MVSU before going to play in a good Rady Children's Invitational on Thanksgiving. |
| Cincinnati | Cincinnati also hasn't played too many great teams either, they'll face Georgia Tech at the end of the week. |
| Texas | Ohio State's loss to Texas A&M definitely hurt Texas so we'll see how good Texas plays when they play another big game. |
| Arizona | Arizona's loss at Wisconsin was definitely surprising, Caleb Love didn't really score and Arizona's backcourt was severely outplayed, they have to play better against Duke. |
| Ole Miss | Ole Miss definitely responded by getting a big win against Colorado State, they don't have too much this week before playing BYU on Thanksgiving. |
| Oregon | Oregon gets a big rivalry game this week playing OSU on Thursday, this Ducks team is definitely deep. |
| UCF | UCF definitely benefits a lot from the Texas A&M win over Ohio State, UCF also plays Wisconsin on Friday, should be looking forward to that. |
| Texas A&M | Texas A&M gets the big win on their home floor, and their only loss is at the 24th ranked team, it's good to get back in the top 25 before the Players Era Festival. |
Top 5 Out: Miami (FL), Wisconsin, St. John's, Illinois, Mississippi State
