Rank | Team | Reason |
---|---|---|
| Auburn | Won their tourney, 3 great wins, #1 on KenPom, They have the best resume and I think they are definitively the best team in college basketball. |
| Kansas | Great win over Duke, still haven't lost and they look very solid. |
| Tennessee | They didn't play anyone good last week, but some teams above them showed they were frauds. |
| Marquette | They didn't play anyone good last week, but some teams above them showed they were frauds. |
| Iowa State | They did lose to Auburn, but it was a 2 point game and they handled their other two matches well. Definitely a great squad. |
| Kentucky | They didn't play anyone good last week, but some teams above them showed they were frauds. |
| Wisconsin | They beat a very good Pitt team, and remain undefeated. I'm very surprised I have them this high but they are a very good team with great wins. |
| Gonzaga | Maybe a little low. They are still a great team, but a lost to WVU does raise questions. It was OT though so very close and easily could've been a W |
| Purdue | Handled both of their matches including a late comeback against a red hot from 3 Ole Miss. Very solid team that I think I'm a little high on compared to most people. |
| Oregon | They jumped a ton here. I honestly thought they were pretty fraudulent after their close games with Portland and Oregon State, but they proved themselves with a wonderful 3-0 tournament. |
| Duke | They lost to Kansas, but it was a very close game and they could've won. This week they play Auburn with a lot of potential to prove. |
| Florida | They may not have played anyone, but all of their games have been dominant, and there are a lot of teams that I don't like coming out of last week. |
| Cincinnati | They may not have played anyone, but all of their games have been dominant, and there are a lot of teams that I don't like coming out of last week. |
| Alabama | I'm not high on Bama, but they beat Houston (who may not be as good as I thought). Unfortunately they lost to Oregon, but its possible I've been hating too much. |
| Memphis | I don't know how to rank these next 10 or so, Memphis has only lost to Auburn and has a few good wins, so they're here. |
| Baylor | Sic 'em. Not sure if this is too high but there are a lot of teams that lost last week a few times and Baylor isn't one of them. |
| Houston | They have 3 losses, but idk where else to put them. They still are a great team, just need to win games. |
| Pitt | Good team, Only lost to Wisconsin who I like a lot so they should be able to get up the rankings quick. |
| Texas A&M | Their loss to Oregon isn't as bad as I think they thought it was when it happened. Oregon is good, and I think so is A&M |
| Georgia | Only loss is to Pitt, otherwise they've beaten good teams and haven't lost any big ones. |
| North Carolina | 3 losses, but a good team that just needs to start playing better, that seems to be the case for a lot of these teams this week. |
| Oklahoma | Undefeated, a few quality wins. Kenpom doesn't like them but I feel they will keep winning to change that. |
| Utah State | Undefeated, good tournament win against double digit Kenpom teams. |
| Drake | Rank Drake! They actually look very solid, and they certainly have a chance to keep their undefeated streak going for a while if the get past K-state |
| UCLA | Bounced back from their early loss, they are a quality team. |
Dropped out: a lot of teams. Done Sunday before any games ended.
