Rank | Team | Reason |
---|---|---|
| Arizona | +/-0 |
| Kansas | +/-0 |
| UConn | +/-0 |
| Houston | +/-0 |
| Purdue | +/-0 |
| Marquette | +/-0 |
| Baylor | +1 No outstanding wins, but they are undefeated and dominate the teams they're supposed to |
| Gonzaga | -1 Road loss to a very solid Washington team and everyone below them lost as well |
| North Carolina | -0 Has some very good wins and lost to UConn on a neutral court |
| Tennessee | +8 Great win against Illinois and everyone else above them lost |
| Creighton | +8 Perhaps I was too harsh in dropping them. Colorado St. is a very good team |
| Kentucky | +1 Only one game this week and they won |
| Virginia | +4 They have some good wins and they continue to win |
| Illinois | +6 Beat FAU and a close road loss to Tennessee |
| Florida Atlantic | -5 Tough loss to Illinois and other teams below won |
| Oklahoma | +7 still undefeated and beat a very solid Arkansas squad |
| Clemson | +7 Still undefeated and beat good S. Carolina & TCU teams |
| Northwestern | UR Beat Purdue and their only loss is to a good Miss. St. team |
| James Madison | +2 Probably poll inertia since beating MIchigan St., but they keep winning |
| Wisconsin | -8 Got absolutely molly whopped by Arizona on the road, but are still a good team with a win over Virginia |
| BYU | -5 Close road loss to a solid Utah team, so I don't think they deserve to drop out of the top 25 |
| Texas | +0 Got dominated on the road by Marquette, but they stay where they are |
| Colorado State | -8 Home loss to a struggling St. Mary's team, but are still top 25 in my eyes |
| Ole Miss | UR Undefeated and has a win against a good Memphis team |
| Colorado | UR Dominated a good Miami team on the road without their star freshman. The Florida St. loss is still a blemish on their resume |
DROPPED OUT: #11 OHIO ST. - Road loss to a bad Penn St. team and I was probably too high on them to begin with. Their good wins aren't looking as good as they did. #14 MIAMI - Absolutely destroyed by their only real competition. Still looks like a decent team, just not top 25 for now. #25 TEXAS A&M - Thought about unranking them last week but gave them the benefit of the doubt since their losses are to good teams.
