JazzYotesRSL's Week 6 Ballot

RankTeamReason
Kentucky +2 The ‘Cats pulled off one heck of a comeback against the Zags. I miss Mark Pope (though that may change in March)
Iowa State +3 The Cyclones scored another marquee win after beating Marquette. They may be the team to beat in the Big 12
Auburn -2 Auburn lost a close one to Duke, but is still obviously a very good team. But man, the SEC is going to be a slugfest this year.
Tennessee NC The Vols have a chance to pick up a good non-conference win Saturday against the Illini
Duke +5 Cooper Flagg and the Blue Devils finally managed to pick up a top win after close calls against Kansas and Kentucky
Marquette +1 A lot of early season chaos means that Marquette will be rewarded for a quality win over Wisconsin despite the loss to ISU
Gonzaga -1 It’s not time to panic yet. A 1 point OT loss to Kentucky is far from something to be ashamed of for the Zags.
Alabama +4 Is Alabama a basketball school now? People are saying.
Michigan State +5 Izzo is inevitable. The Spartans look like they could very well go on yet another deep run in March
Kansas -8 A brutal week for the Jayhawks, who not only got blown out by Creighton, but lost the Border War.
Purdue NC Purdue are certainly kicking themselves for that performance against Penn State.
Florida +6 The Gators are off to a 9-0 start with their beatdown of Virginia. An interesting test against ASU is coming this week
Ole Miss +7 The SEC absolutely humiliated the ACC this last week, and Ole Miss played their part with a beatdown of Louisville
Michigan NR The Wolverines have certainly bounced back from a dismal season last year
Mississippi State NR What an absolute beatdown of Pitt from the Bulldogs!
Wisconsin -7 And just like that, Wisconsin reminds us that they still have a ways to go
Baylor -2 Baylor has not capitalized on early season opportunities for big wins
Illinois -2 With so many teams that could be dangerous in this conference, losses to Northwestern will sting
North Carolina -2 North Carolina has a lot of talent, but they’ve found a way to squander talent in recent years. Can they rebound?
San Diego State +2 The Aztecs avoided an embarrassing loss, unlike most of their conference
Dayton NC The Flyers should be the clear favorite to win the A10 this year.
Oklahoma +2 The Sooners will be tested soon, but undefeated is undefeated
Pitt -4 Way to get punched in the mouth with the rest of your conference, Pitt
Utah State NR Go Aggies!
UConn NR

Overall Rationale

It’s still way too early to feel any kind of confidence about my top 25. But I do think the top of the pecking order is starting to establish itself
