koltonm23's Week 6 Ballot

RankTeamReason
Tennessee (+2) The only team to not show weakness with a dominant win over Baylor on the resume as well. Deserving #1 right now.
Auburn (--) Not going to punish them for losing a tough battle @ Duke. Clearly a very good team and that was a Final 4 caliber game in a road environment.
Iowa State (+1) Only loss is to Auburn and picked up a huge win over Marquette this week. They look like the team to beat in the Big 12 after Kansas fell apart this week.
Kentucky (+2) In a super fun game they knocked off the Zags to pick up a 2nd win over teams in my top-10. Pope has them looking like a title contender in year 1.
Marquette (--) Tough loss @ Iowa St but a bounce back win over Wisconsin keeps them right where they were. Kam Jones is the POY right now.
Duke (+2) Huge for this young Duke team to get a win like that over Auburn and cement themselves as a contender this year.
Alabama (+4) Going to UNC and beating them soundly was impressive, especially without Wrightsell and still no Youngblood. Once he's healthy they're right there with the other SEC teams at the top.
Florida (+7) Lots of losses ahead of Florida and they're just murdering teams. They haven't played a top-50 teams but the metrics love them and they haven't lost so here they are.
Gonzaga (+1) The Zags lost but in OT to a top-5 team isn't shameful at all. Not a top-10 resume but I believe in Few and this Zags team.
Oregon (-3) The Ducks won a tough road game against USC but then dropped a tough one to UCLA at home on a banked in 3 at the buzzer. Still looking really solid though.
Purdue (-2) Well the Boilers got blitzed @ Penn St but bounced back to beat a good Maryland team at home. Conference road losses to good teams aren't overly concerning but that's 2 convincing ones now.
Kansas (-11) Not sure what to do with Kansas right now as they looked like the best team in the country until this week, dropping 2 on the road to unranked teams...lost focus? Need a bounce back.
Oklahoma (+6) Similar to Florida no great wins but undefeated. Not nearly as pretty per the metrics though so we'll see how long that lasts.
Houston (+2) Beat up on an average Butler team and still belong somewhere in the 11-15 range ultimately I think. Will be tough to beat if you're not a top-10 team.
Ole Miss (+5) Only loss is to Purdue and they smoked Louisville this week. Beard has them playing really good ball.
UCLA (NR) Had them around here pre-season but the win @ Oregon this week was the first time they looked the part against a good team. Cronin may have turned a corner with this years group finally.
Michigan (NR) Massive win @ Wisconsin and stayed hot by beating Iowa. May has them playing really well.
Wisconsin (-4) There's a chance neither Pitt or Arizona is very good and Wisconsin is getting too much credit for those wins. Losses to Marquette and Michigan aren't bad on paper but cast some doubt.
Michigan State (+6) I am sticking with Sparty and Izzo, especially after dominating both Minnesota and Nebraska this week. They are good.
Clemson (NR) Huge win over Kentucky this week has to have them here. Also didn't fall for the letdown trap and won @ Miami. Well coached and talented enough to be a top-20 team.
Texas A&M (NR) Back in the top-25 for me after a big win over Texas Tech as well as Wake this week.
UConn (NR) Hurley won't allow this team to die and they picked up wins over Baylor and Texas this week to get the train back on the tracks.
Baylor (-10) Very tough schedule for a young Baylor team so far but 3 losses to top-25 teams shouldn't disqualify them, especially with nice wins over Arkansas and St. John's..
San Diego State (NR) Probably should have had them here last week but we get it right this week. Win over Houston very impressive and losses are to 9 and 10 so deserving of a top-25 ranking.
Georgia (NR) Quietly the Dawgs are not just good at football but hoops as well. Wins over St. John's and Notre Dame so far as FR Asa Newell is a sensation.
