corndogshuffle's Week 6 Ballot

RankTeamReason
Tennessee +2 Tennessee DESTROYED Syracuse with facts and logic, remaining undefeated
Auburn -1 Auburn lost in Cameron but 1. There's no shame in that, and 2. Auburn still owns two top ten wins in Torvik
Iowa State +4 Picked up their first major win of the season against Marquette
Kentucky NC Lost for the first time at 22 Clemson, but picked up their second top 5 win in a quasi-road game against Gonzaga
Marquette NC Lost for the first time against Iowa State, but has a nice collection of wins (3 against T25, 4 against T50)
Duke +6 Earned a huge statement win against Auburn
Purdue +1 Split a tough week at top 20 Penn State and top 10 Maryland
Oregon -2 Tough buzzer beater loss at home, but Oregon remains buoyed by four top 40 wins
Alabama +1 Dominated reeling UNC in Chapel Hill
Florida +3 I believe this team is good but I really need them to play somebody. They play AZState in Atlanta on Saturday. Actually, I might go to that
Clemson UNR This isn't just about UK, athough it is partially about that. Clemson also has a win against 16 Penn State and 33 San Franisco
Gonzaga -3 Tough OT loss for the Zags, who led by 18 at one point against Kentucky
San Diego State +5 While everyone else in CBB was busy losing, SDSU was not
Kansas -12 Got blasted twice this week
Oklahoma NC Full disclosure - I don't know that I buy the Sooners as top 15. But they absolutely deserve it right now based on what has happened this year
Texas A&M UNR Picked up a nice win against Texas Tech. Besdes their annual WTF loss against UCF, Texas A&M has just about lived up to their preseason billing
Arizona State +3 DIdn't play anyone this week. But some teams didn't play anyone and still lost. So, have a poll bump
Baylor -4 Still has no bad losses (by opponent quality at least), but without at least one more win I'm one more ""not a bad loss"" away from unranking Baylor entirely
Wisconsin -8 Took tough top 20 losses against Michigan and at Marquette
Utah State UNR Just keeps winning
Georgia UNR These guys keep ending up in my ballot. Georgia handled Notre Dame this week
Memphis -5 Arkansas State is better than people think, but come on
Penn State UNR Beat Purdue this week, and their only loss so far came against Clemson. There's an argument I've left them too low
Ole Miss UNR Two top fifty wins and only lost once, on a neutral floor to Purdue
Michigan State -3 Michigan State didn't lose, but still got jumped by six previously unranked teams who I now find more impressive

Overall Rationale

Any reference to “top 50”, or something like that, is a reference to Torvik. Next five: UCLA, Mississippi State, Maryland, Pittsburgh, West Virginia
