Nacos2001's Week Pre-Season Ballot

RankTeamReason
Kansas Two teams in my opinion have rosters that stand out above the field, Kansas and Alabama. I believe Kansas with the benefit of Bill Self's coaching is the preseason #1 until proven otherwise.
Alabama Without a doubt one of the deepest rosters in the country. I told myself I'd be more wary of teams that made deep runs after a mediocre season, but this team brought a lot back and added a ton.
Gonzaga I am very high on this team, I think they really figured it out down the stretch and bringing back a lot, this team will return to the Gonzaga we all know.
Houston Toyed with Houston or Iowa St. here, but ultimately am going with Kelvin Sampson.
Iowa State Similar to a lot of these top teams, they are bringing a ton back and should be right in the mix for the Big 12 championship.
Auburn Very high on this team, believe they upgraded at guard from last year while keeping the best big man in the SEC, the state of Alabama runs the SEC now.
UConn Honestly, this roster to me is not even top 10. They are absolutely getting the Hurley boost and deserve it after back to back national championships.
Duke Just like every year, Duke has another insane recruiting class making them legit contenders. If the pieces work out no one will want to see this team come March, but there is always that if.
Baylor This team added a lot in the portal and think they will be a top team in the Big 12. Think VJ wins freshman of the year.
North Carolina Without a doubt a top 3 back court and probably not 3. Front court issues make this team a fringe top 10 team, but if Washington or Lubin steps up, watch out.
Arizona Do not know too much about this team outside of their guards in all honesty. Interested to see if Bradley can take that next step and compete in their first year in the Big 12.
Creighton Could see this team being quite similar to last year, will absolutely be right in the fight for the Big East.
Arkansas I actually really like this roster. A mix of experience, rising sophomores that can take the next step, and top recruits.
Indiana Another team I am much higher on than others. Think the addition of Ballo with Mgbako coming back will be a winning formula.
Tennessee Analytics seem to like this team, but I just do not see it. They will need one of their transfers to fill the offensive void left by Knecht and until that is shown I'm wary of this team.
Purdue Bring back a decent amount but there is always the question mark of how they will replace Edey.
Texas Kind of meh on Kaluma, but the other pieces on this team are legit and Texas will compete at the top of the SEC.
Texas A&M This team did excellent in conference play last year and believe they will have a similar year this year. This is absolutely a top 20 team, even with Wade Taylor shooting 40 shots a game.
Marquette Kolek is gone and I believe Kam Jones fills those shoes. This team probably won't be as good as last year, but still a solid team.
Texas Tech Will be relying on some MM transfers making the step up, but this team is solid and even in a crowded Big 12 should perform.
Michigan State I think Xavier Booker takes a step or two up and paired with Akins should be strong and a top team in the Big 10.
Mississippi State Hubbard is him and they will play through one of the best guards in the SEC.
Rutgers Two absolutely insanely good freshman in Bailey and Harper, will be must watch TV. However, worried about what is around them and who steps up to help them.
Kentucky Pope did a great job rebuilding this team and adding great pieces in the portal. The first year with a new coach at a program like Kentucky come wit som
Grand Canyon Ok, here me out on this one. Grant-Foster will be one of the best players in the country, and dominate the WAC. Honestly think Gonzaga's #1 competition is GCU and not Saint Mary's this year.

Overall Rationale

Always the most difficult poll of the year. Hopefully its half decent and has only a few spelling errors. Can't wait for the season to start!
